Friday, 2nd Decmber
I had a meeting with Martin
yesterday, we have been told the building needs to be vacant on the
1st of January. That is unusual, we thought we will have
some time in the new year, not that we have much to take out, most of
it is “rubbish”. We had hoped to end with a big party new years
eve.
We decided to finish on the 17th,
with a party. Combining my birthday with a farewell. It would have
been M/s night, although it is a Saturday, now it will be open to
all, and we have brought M/s night a week forward. Some clients will
not be happy, as quite a few travel from smaller towns and the
country. This means we also would have to cancel 2 office parties,
Martin is looking to hire a different venue. Of course it will not be
the same, as it is not our normal bar, and we will have to persuade
some of or regulars to attend, to recreate the atmosphere.
Ben and I have organised our vow
renewal, he has promised me there will be no repeat of the collar
ceremony. We will stay at the hotel the night before, and have
invited our Stockholm friends who attended last year for brunch. We
have booked the room again and Ben and I will renew our vows in front
of our friends.
We have had some sad news from
Canada today. Earlier this week Barbara miscarried. I think in the
back of her mind she was cautious anyway, but it is very sad. They
had such hopes. Ben is very upset, I explained to him that with Eriks
family history the foetus was most likely not viable, more people
miscarry than they even realise.
I am working all day tomorrow and
Sunday at a clinic in …... It will be interesting. Ben is quite
happy with it, but he says he will miss me all day. He has organised
to see friends. We have received instructions what to buy as presents
for the children, so that is something he can do. All the christmas
markets are up now, he enjoys those.
