Tuesday, 8th December
Life is trundling along, the
weather is miserable as always at this time of year. I am glad the
boy is used to cold, but he has admitted it is worse than Canada. He
has been under the weather again, he has had some pain in his arm
where the chip is. I think I might have contributed to it, I
accidentally hit him on the arm whilst we were playing the other day.
He has a big bruise. Sometimes the chip can leak or grow too much
into the tissue when it has been in for a long time, so we are having
it checked. A friend of mine is a pathologist with the police, he can
take it out if necessary. He has an operating room at home.
Professional at work, kinky at home.
They slave is happy today, he has
spoken to Barbara and Erik on Skype. They are fine, they have put the
house on the market, the “insider” market, fully furnished. They
are not in a hurry to sell, anyway, probate is still in process. AND
we have received a letter from the States today. Yes, from Ben's
mother! She has sent photos of his brothers and their families,
although they are total strangers to Ben. She has also sent a photo
of herself, Ben and Elizabeth (Eliza) from childhood. They look very
happy together.
Thursday, 10th December
Today is the day of Human Rights,
and Ben had his chip removed today. Another step away from Robert. He
did not go to the gym today, but rested. We did not bother trying to
find out why it caused him trouble, I decided to have it taken out. I
will replace it with a more modern, safer version soon.
We strapped the boy down and he had
a local anaesthetic. The chip had grown too much into the tissue,
like we suspected. It was painful for him to have it cut out, and I
insisted he have more anaesthetic. He said he could deal with it, but
it is not only the pain, the anaesthetic also reduces bleeding.
Almost every movement of the arm makes him wince, but he needs to
move it, it will heal better.
He is sleeping in the bed tonight,
and I will go shortly and experience sleeping in a cell for the first
time in .. 16 years.
Friday, 11th December
I am on a late shift following by
an on call tonight, same tomorrow. I will be dead to the world
Sunday, with the Christmas party season started, I do not expect to
get much rest. If I am on-call, I have to deal with other medical
emergencies as well, from attending cardiac arrests and certify
deaths, or even just prescribe pain medication to doing some
stitching. Anaesthesia is more involved and specialised than even
some doctors think. They have to remember, often it us who hold a
patients life in our hands.
It was strange waking up in the
cell this morning, at first I thought I was a youngster again. Then I
saw the slaves photos, and I thought it was actually good to
experience his world. We had a shower together, this time it was me
who took care of him, although not in that way, he did that, and very
well, he was thankful for the bed. Gym and yoga is not possible for
him today. He went to check on the house, and then we had lunch at
the flat. He will spend the afternoon and possibly evening downstairs
so that Per can keep an eye on him. They will probably do some light
playing, Per is a bit deprived of it at the moment, as Lasse is still
not 100%
Saturday, 12th December
As predicted, I did not get much
time to rest last night, so I slept all morning. The slave met with
Sabine, and provided me with a delicious brunch. He woke me ever so
gently, such a shame I did not have time. He asked me if I had ever
tried latex on, they had talked about the empty apartment last night.
I had tried it when I was younger, and then when I lived in Boston, I
had fancied a latex guy, which quickly fizzled out after a few dates.
I find it uncomfortable and it does nothing for me at all. I offered
to take him to a shop if he wanted to try it. He has of course seen
it at conventions, but somehow always felt a bit uncomfortable with
it. I guess that topic is finished.
Sunday, 13th December
Another long night. The slave has
gone to some art thing with Ingrid, so I can have peace and quiet.
It is almost too quiet.
Wednesday, 16th December
My family came to Stockholm today,
Kerstin and Olav are very excited to be here, staying in a hotel and
be at a wedding! We have had them at the house today, there the
bedrooms are practically in a separate wing and we can keep it closed
off to curious kids. Sadly they cannot stay for long in Stockholm, as
they of course, have to look after the animals. Tonight Ben has gone
back to the flat, it is bad luck to see each other before the
wedding, apparently. And there will be something blue, borrowed etc.
The whole traditional schmaltz. Tomorrow we will spend our “first
night” here.
I noticed today Ben is still
crossing to avoid the cellar door. Maybe it has just become habit?
