We are moving!

Good Friday, 25th March

We have been busy all week organising the move. I would have liked to do some building work, decorate etc, but we have a tenant!

It is a vanilla person, so we will lock up the playroom (phew, we were both a bit uncomfortable with other people using our gear, we suddenly confessed). I had been contacted by my old boss to discuss holiday cover, and I mentioned that I will be living at the house and I am looking for a tenant. He told me about a German doctor who will be at the hospital for 6 months, he is gay, and he and his partner are looking for somewhere. We skyped, showed them the flat, and they want it. Tomorrow and Sunday we have some volunteers from the club to help us move. They want it fully furnished, so we are swapping furniture. We have ordered a sofa from Ikea, we remembered a model we had seen a few weeks ago. The slave has been busy doing an inventory of the kitchen, I have been packing the office, deciding what to store, what to take to the house. I found a box of photos, which the slave wants to put into order.

Monday, 28th March

So, we are in the house! Our friends from the club have been fantastic, some are owners of vans, so we did not even have to hire one. I stayed at the flat, Ben was at the house. Some stuff came out, some stuff came in. Everything is where it was supposed to be, thanks to the organisation of Ben, Per and Lasse. Our tenants will move in at the weekend, of course Ben will go crazy getting the place ready for them. Now we have the modern furniture here, the house looks even more scruffy. This time I am going to take my time, deciding what to do, I still do not like the colours!

Of course we provided food and refreshments for our volunteers, and there will be a tab at the club. Everyone has been given coloured vouchers, for each voucher they can get a drink to a certain value. It was Ben's idea. I thought of putting a certain amount behind the bar, but then some drink more than others, that would not have been fair. There is no monetary value on the voucher, the bar staff will have to know what each colour is worth. I guess our punters can work out how much they are worth to us, but we thought this was a good way to do it. Of course we paid the van owners some petrol money.

Tuesday, 29th March

We did not go to meditation class today, they boy had to cancel his shift. He was exhausted after the move and had some problems, which developed during the day. I was thankful for the car, I had to go and pick him up from Ingrid. He has his driving test on Friday, he should be ok then.

Wednesday, 30th March

The boy was supposed to have a driving lesson, we cancelled it. He did his theory test, which he aced. He is resting in the bedroom upstairs, he likes the coolness of it.
