I met with my old boss today to
talk about the job offer. He knew all about it, they had asked him
for a reference. I mentioned it was not very many hours and how much
I miss working! I miss the banter, the support, the whole atmosphere.
I also feel I am out of the loop, and how can I teach the next
generation of doctors if I do not have the knowledge of the latest
developments. OK, I can read about it and go to conferences, but it
is not the same as being in theatre and put it into practice. My boss
said they would love to have me back, maybe as a part time position.
He is going to talk to HR and look how they can fit me in. I of
course have a my own stuff as well, but I am very interested.
