Monday, 2nd January
Here we are again, what am I going
to do this year?
We had a nice party, Martin and his
wife were here, she got on very well with Lasse.
P/L are going away to the sun
again, we decided we will spend more time at the flat while they are
away. The builders will start tomorrow. I will have to go and meet
everyone.
I contacted the agency to say I
would not be available at short notice, I would need a bit more time
to plan.
Ben has received a long letter from
Ruth, she has had it difficult, but Mark has come around. Erik and
Barbara have settled in the new house and got a new puppy. If she
falls pregnant again, they will be very happy, if it does not happen,
so be it.
Tuesday, 3rd January
I had to be at the building site
for 8am, for once I was the first up! Ben had his lessons, they got
their results. He did well, he is very happy. All his studying and
practise has paid off.
I met the foreman, he is very
professional. He asked me how do we think we can make a club viable
in that location? I explained who our members are, he said he had
done a lot of clubs, never anything like this, it is a very
interesting concept. He asked me if I am into the scene, or is it
just a business investment? You readers know I am not that forward,
but something annoyed me with that question and I told him I will
bring my slave along later in the week, and he can explain how much I
am in the scene. I will have to do it, he did not believe me at all.
Of course the builders have keys, I
do not have to be there all the time. Martin and his family are 4
weeks in Australia, I do not know how he managed to get the kids out
of school. So I have to deal with everything relating to building
work. The work is scheduled to take 6 weeks, realistic 8 weeks.
